Four purpose-built straitjackets and the magnetic hardware that complements them, created and selected by someone who wanted better options—and decided to make them.
You should get to struggle in a straitjacket— not struggle to find one.
Curiosity can start with escape artistry, history, performance or consensual restraint. Too often the next step is blocked by confusing sizes, questionable quality and no honest explanation of what you are buying. Straitjacket Struggles exists to lower those barriers.

Entry-level jackets
Two accessible synthetic designs for a first experience. Choose the construction and arm-positioning style that suits you.

Entry level / Flexible
The Experimentalist
$85$95Sale · Low stock
A softer, flexible starting point with a lined PU shell, reinforced high-stress areas and several ways to position the arms.
Imported labels rarely tell the whole story. Our patterns are developed around familiar Western T-shirt sizing, then checked against the measurements that matter for each design.
Each product has its own fit. Check the current product chart before ordering, especially at size boundaries.
Plan the release first
For consenting adults only. Maintain continuous supervision and immediate access to every release.
Know the design limits
Entry-level materials prioritize accessibility and feel. They are not designed to withstand deliberate destructive force.
04 / THE STORY
Built from curiosity. Improved through experience.
Straitjacket Struggles is a founder-led small business—not a faceless dropshipping page. We work directly with a specialist manufacturing partner, revising common entry-level designs—including the Experimentalist and Asylum Adventurer—with better straps, reinforcement and sizing before putting our name on them.
The long-term goal is larger than a product catalog: better access for newcomers, more thoughtful designs for enthusiasts, and a digital archive that preserves the remarkable variety of straitjackets across history and the world.
The archive will collect and document unusual designs, manufacturers and details from private collections around the world. Have a piece worth preserving? We would love to hear from you.
